President

Jose Santoro

Jose SantoroJosé M. Santoro holds an MBA from Farleigh Dickinson University and has 30 years experience in the medical industry. He has functioned as: Regional Sales Director, National Sales Manager, International Sales and Marketing Manager as well as Vice President of Sales and General Manager of various large corporations. He also served in the United States Navy Reserves as the leading Petty Officer for various detachments. After 24 years he retired on January 2000 serving his last years at the Head Quarters of Fleet Hospital 500, Combat Zone Twenty-Two, Fort Dix, NJ. He is the President of Communication and Teamwork, LLC, a consulting firm he founded in November of 2004. Mr. Santoro assists small to medium size Healthcare companies to grow their business in a competitive environment. He lectures at Essex County College and has held numerous workshops for Lady Liberty Charter Schools, Unions and various businesses in NY, NJ, PA and DE. At CMSA he serves as a National Legislative Council Member and as the Legislative Chair for both NYC and NJ CMSA Chapters. He also serves in the National Home Infusion Association Legislative effort. Mr. Santoro has built his career on the guiding principles of integrity and honesty and will provide a voice for the CMSA membership and all healthcare professionals.

Catherine Morris-Zieniewicz, RN, MS, CCM
Past President

Catherine MorrisCatherine Morris RN, MS, CCM is a Masters prepared RN, Certified in Case Management with over twenty five years of healthcare experience spanning multiple aspects of the continuum, including the administrative, clinical, provider and payer arenas. Her experience includes more than ten years of health care financial management extending across the insurance and the acute care environment. She has disease and case management experience with a concentration on quality and efficiency issues, denial management and revenue cycle improvement. At present, Catherine is the Executive Director of Care Management for Stony Brook University Medical Center in Long Island, NY.

She is the Immediate Past-President of CMSA NYC. She served as the president for six years. She works on both the education and the legislative committees.

In addition, Catherine is also a member of the American Nurses Association, New York State Nurses Association, Association of Nurse Executives, The Healthcare Financial Management Association and a volunteer for Suffolk Literacy.

Roseanne Seibert, RN
Treasurer

Roseanne Seibert, RN has over thirty years of diverse nursing experience including:
Case Management for Calvary Hospital, Amerigroup and Oxford Health Plans, Physician Practice Nurse-Mount Sinai Medical Center Head and Neck Associates, Allergy/Asthma Charge Nurse, hospice/private duty, ICU/CCU/ER and Medical Surgical Unit nursing. In addition Roseanne has served as an asthma consultant, program developer and lecturer for the Respiratory Health Association.

Other Professional Affiliations and Leadership: Chapter Member Chair 2004-2005; Treasurer 2005-present; Mt Sinai Wellness and Personal Development Program-Lecturer; American Lung Association-Member Board of Directors/Asthma Committee.

Roseanne is a passionate proponent of case management and places strong emphasis on the role of patient advocate in case management. She supports the need for on-going education and is actively envolved as the Treasurer of the CMSA-NYC chapter.

Doris Imperati
Secretary

Doris ImperatiDoris Imperati, RN, BSN, MHSA, CCM graduated Valedictorian from Harlem Valley School of Nursing, and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount Saint Mary’s College, in Newburgh NY. She received her Masters in Health Service Administration from Saint Joseph’s College in Windham, Maine. Her past experiences include critical care nursing, nursing management, staff development and Director of Case Management. She is a proponent for continuous, life-long learning, and was a faculty member of the Everest Nursing Institute, teaching their 3-day Case Management Certificate program.

In 1996 she was appointed Director of Case Management at Putnam Hospital, where she designed, developed & implemented the Hospital’s Case Management Service. She then assumed a position with Danbury Hospital, Danbury CT as the Director of Clinical Resource Management. Doris currently is a Manager with HP3, a Pennsylvania-based clinical documentation improvement company.

Doris has been an active member and the Past President of Hudson Valley CMSA, and a member of NYC, Long Island and Connecticut CMSA chapters. Additionally, Doris has served as Chair off the Trichapter NY-CMSA Conference Planning Committee, chairman of HVCMSA’s education committee, and Board Member and Secretary for NYC CMSA. She has also worked collaboratively with other Connecticut hospitals and the American Case Management Association to establish a local chapter of the ACMA.

Emylou Tiukenhoy, MA, RN, CCM

Emylou Tiukinhoy Emylou Tiukinhoy, MA, RN, CCMis currently a Case Manager in Cardiology at St. Vincent's Hospital-Manhattan. She has varied professional experiences including Asst. Head Nurse in a Cardiac Care Unit, Nursing Education Instructor, Public Health/Home. Health Care Nurse and Clinical Administrative Liaison Nurse. She has been a Case Manager since 1996. She is a Certified Case Manager by the Commision for Case Manager Certification and the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has participated in the Role & Function study to validate the CCM certification examination. As a CMSA member since 1996, she is currently on the NYC chapter Board of Directors involved in the membership committee. Emylou is also a member of the American Nurses Association and New York State Nurses Association.

Linda Weiner, RN, BSN, CNA

Linda WeinerLinda Weiner, RN, BSN, CNA, CCM is a registered nurse with many years of experience. She has been employed as an Acute Care Case Manager at St. Vincent’s Hospital Manhattan for the past ten years. Prior positions include Nursing Supervisor at Little Neck Hospital, Head nurse at North Shore University Hospital, and Team Leader at New York University Medical Center. Linda is certified as a Case Manager by The Commission for Case Manager Certification, and certified in Nursing Administration by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is a member of both the New York State Nurses Association, and the Case Management Society of America.

Valerie Slater, LMSW, CCM

Valerie Slater Valerie Slater, LCSW, CCM is an experienced social worker having worked in the healthcare industry for the past ten years. She is currently employed as a specialty Transplant Clinical Care Manager at Americhoice, a managed Medicaid/Medicare insurance plan. Prior to this, she worked for six years at Mt Sinai Hospital as an inpatient med-surg social worker where she was awarded the Dept of Medicine Social Work Award 1999-01. Ms. Slater holds a MA in social work from University of Chicago and is a Certified Case Manager (CCM). She is active with the CMSA-NYC chapter, participating on the membership committee and serving as a board member.

Virginia Hoey, ACSW, CCM

Virginia Hoey Virginia Hoey, ACSW, CCM- With 25 years experience in healthcare, Virginia has been case managing since 1991 and an active CMSA member since 2000. A strong patient advocate she started a support group for oncology patients.
